Three ways to get rid of that empty wall space

There’s nothing worse than clutter – however one thing that a lot of us equally hate is an empty wall space.

These spaces may seem intimidating at first but the great thing about them is that they are a canvas waiting to be decorated – and now is your opportunity to get creative and make the most of your empty wall space. We’ve got plenty of ideas to turn your blank wall alive!

1.      Decorative paint

A big blank wall equals a big blank canvas and it’s time for you to get creative – whether you want the colours to match with the rest of your home décor or you may want to be a bit more experimental. The beauty about painting your wall is that you are able to do something bigger and slightly different to what you might be able to achieve with wallpaper.

??????????????????????????????????? 2.      Get creative with storage

There’s no better way to make the most of your space than with storage. And if you are someone who has been living in the same space for quite some time, it can be easy to get stuck in a rut with regards how you use it. But now is the time to start using this empty space more effectively – whether it be a big bookcase to display your favourite collections or to give a room the home library look.

3.      Attention grabbing artwork

The aim with a blank wall is to prevent it from looking stark and empty – so why not turn it into a gallery of your favourite things? A single piece of artwork can be the solution for an entire blank wall – especially if it’s a dramatic size. Or you could consider lining up your collection of favourite art pieces like the image below.

Whatever you end up doing – just be sure not to leave it blank! No one- likes to stare at a cold, stark empty wall.
