What is the SHELFSTORE system made from?
Solid pine, finely sanded and varnished.

Can the system be bought in other woods/colours?
No, pine only.

Can we paint or stain the wood?
No, the wood is sealed with a polyurethane lacquer. The only components which can be coloured are unvarnished door and upright panels.

How easy is the system to assemble?
Very - a single shelving section can be completed in 10 minutes !

How strong are the shelves?
Each shelf will carry a load of over 100kg.

How do I care for my furniture and shelves?
No polishing needed, just a damp cloth.

Is the SHELFSTORE system environmentally friendly?
Yes, all our pine comes from environmentally managed forests.

Can I change/move my arrangement at a later date?
Yes, the system is easily taken apart and rearranged.

Will the older parts of my system always fit with the new?
Yes, the basics of the system have never altered.

Will SHELFSTORE check my plans/parts listing?
Yes, if you are unsure about any aspect of your plan (will it fit, will the combination work, parts listing, etc), fax, e mail or post your plans and dimensions to us. We are happy to compile a parts listing based upon your plan.

Are there showrooms outside central London?
No, but we deliver country-wide.

How long has Shelfstore been in business?
Twenty-three years. The system for over fifty!

How long does delivery take from the time of ordering?
Normally two to four days.
