If you’re thinking about selling your home – it’s important to remember that presentation is key! No one will be interested in your home if you’ve left it messy and cluttered when people come round for a viewing.
In order to keep your home looking presentable when potential buyers come round, we thought we’d share a few of our tips with you…
Now we all know that first impressions count – but it’s time to put this into practice. So when you introduce someone to your house for the first time, be sure to consider that those first impressions begin within the first steps up to the front door – therefore it’s important to keep this area tidy.
Clutter is one of the biggest culprits in turning people off your property. Not only does it act as a distraction when people are looking at what a room has to offer, but it also highlights the lack of storage space.
Therefore it’s important to consider the storage in each of your rooms – if you have a broken shelving system which means all of your CD’s and DVD’s are slanting to one side, then you should think about upgrading your shelving system.
Desk areas are another culprit when it comes to mess – be sure to re organize all of your papers into a filing system. Make sure your home office provides all the suitable storage that you need, if not – then perhaps it’s time to get a new one?
So, when it comes to selling your home – just remember that a dis-oraginsed house can be one of the biggest ‘turn offs’ for potential buyers – so be before you consider showing anyone round, be sure to put our tips into place.
