What’s not to love about Autumn? The crunchy leaves, cosy knits and Halloween – there really is a lot to look forward to.
It’s safe to say that within the last couple of days, the weather has changed dramatically. As the air turns crisper, and with half term fast approaching, we thought we’d share with you a few ideas to get yourselves into the Halloween spirit as well as making the most of this quality family time…
Not only is London famous for the big productions but you can also have a look around for plenty of smaller child friendly theatres putting on many incredible productions across the country.
There are many ancient castles across the U.K and these are hot spots for the supernatural – where many of the run special Halloween events at this time of year including ghost tours. So be sure to have a look around and see if there are any close to you that take your fancy – if you dare!
Get Out In The Great Outdoors
Whether you like kicking around in the Autumn leaves or taking in the colours in a nice country walk – getting outside in this time of year can be fun, even without the sun. So why not get out there and experience everything autumn has to offer us this half term. You can also spook it up by going to on special walks where you can discover the myths and legends of Dartmoor on a ghostly ramble.
Make The Most Of London’s Attractions
One of the many advantages of living so close to London is the fact that you’re only a train ride away from some of the biggest and spookiest attractions. Not only are there the many attractions like London dungeons etc. but there are many theme parks that also do something special to mark this time of year.
So what are you waiting for? Get researching and seeing what there’s about for you and your kids to do at this time of year. The beauty about this holiday is that you can make it as traditional as you please. Just be sure to make the most of the holiday that really does embrace fun, creativity and mixing up your home’s interiors. And don’t forget to have your homes stocked up with treats on that Halloween Friday night for the many trick-or-treaters that will be arriving at your door.
