Well the first day of Spring on 20th March means we can start looking forward to longer days and perhaps even better weather, which all makes us feel more inspired to get busy outdoors as well as indoors. What’s more, with Easter following on soon after, we have extra time to be able to do whatever we want, so The Shelfstore Team have put together some ideas as to what you could do to make the most of the time you have.
If you have a garden, whatever the size, the opportunities to get outdoors and tidy up your patch have been limited recently due to the rather inclement weather. Now is the time to get out into the fresh air and clear away the leaves and weeds that have accumulated over the winter months, and to prune any dead wood to let the bulbs and other spring flowers and plants bloom. It’s something the whole family can become involved with and if everyone does a little… then a lot can be achieved!
With the Easter holidays, it’s always a challenge keeping the kids entertained. Of course one great way to get their attention and keep them occupied is to organise an Easter Egg Hunt! If you can do this outside… all the better… as they can let off some steam in the process. Alternatively find somewhere close by that is organising one and you can have a day out at the same time. Check locally to see what other days out there are, as Easter is usually a time when there is plenty on offer.
Sorting out, decluttering and refreshing your home is a great way to get ready for summer and to really banish those winter blues. A spring clean might seem like a daunting task, but once you get started, you’ll appreciate the sense of achievement it brings, which will keep you motivated to finish!
Seasonal Scents And Decoration
Welcome spring into your home by opening the windows to air your rooms and letting the sweet smell of the season in. Fresh flowers are another way to introduce wonderful scents and add a sunny touch to your surroundings and if you need to brighten the whole room, why not decorate by introducing new accessories or even by painting the room a new and uplifting colour.
