Your Questions – Answered!

We’re going to be hosting a series of blogs with some of the questions we are often asked by our customers.

Today’s question: My Shelfstore delivery is today but I need to go out – what should I do?

So you’ve had a last minute call from someone and need to leave the house for a few hours.

How are you going to make sure you receive your delivery safely?

Words of wisdom – don’t panic!

We understand that there may be a last minute reason you need to leave your home on the delivery day, whether it’s to collect the kids from school, walk the dog or any other kind of emergency that you need to rush out for.

Therefore we have a solution to make sure your package arrives safely.

All you need to do is carry out the following instructions:

  • Place the piece of paper inside an envelope and make sure it is by your door or somewhere where our TNT driver can clearly see it. Make sure the envelope is addressed to the TNT courier driver so they know what to look out for.
  • Make sure you have signed the piece of paper so that the courier driver can keep the letter and use it as a receipt.

There you have it – nothing to worry about. We’ll make sure your package will be waiting for you as soon as you get home!

One thing we would advise however is if it’s a rainy day – make sure that your instructions to the TNT driver is to place your delivery in a safe and dry area like the porch.

If you have narrow access or any further instructions that we’ll need to pass onto the courier company then please email or telephone us – so that we are aware before the delivery goes out.

When entering your account details, it may also be useful to include some location instructions too.

Don’t have a secure dry area where your package can be left?
